Massage and bodywork

Nine approaches. Tell us what hurts and how much pressure you like, and we will pick one.

The nine styles

Swedish

스웨디시

Long, broad strokes. The default for general tension and fatigue.

Relaxation

Deep tissue

딥티슈

Slower and firmer, into the deeper layers of muscle.

Firm pressure

Shiatsu

지압

Japanese acupressure, through a sheet rather than with oil.

No oil

Kyong Rak

경락

Korean traditional meridian massage, for circulation and body shaping.

Korean traditional

Sports massage

스포츠

Compression, stretching and range-of-motion work for training and recovery.

Athletic

Hot stone

핫스톤

Heated stones alongside hands-on work, to warm tissue.

Warming

Craniosacral

두개천골

Very light contact, focused on head, neck and lower back.

Gentle

Lomi Lomi

로미로미

Hawaiian-style, flowing forearm strokes rather than pointed pressure.

Flowing

Prenatal

산전

Positioned for pregnancy. Tell us how far along you are when you book.

Pregnancy

Choosing between them

If you are not sure, say what you want out of the hour. "I want to switch off" points somewhere different from "my right shoulder has been locked for a month." You can change the pressure mid-session — firmer is not better, just different.

Bodywork is often combined with acupuncture in the same visit. You are draped throughout. Tell us about injuries, recent surgery, skin conditions or pregnancy when you book.

This page describes what treatment involves. It is not a promise of a result and not a diagnosis. Keep your physician informed about complementary care you add — particularly if you are pregnant, on blood thinners, or under active treatment.
